Alan Cheam is a second-year M.S. candidate in Human Factors Psychology at California State University, Long Beach. Currently, he is gaining valuable experience as a Human Factors Research Assistant at Dynamic Research, Inc., specializing in the automotive industry. Over the summer of 2024, Alan interned as an Ergonomics Intern with the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group/Kaiser Permanente in Washington, D.C. Prior to his graduate studies, Alan spent two years in economic and workforce development, focusing on human-centered approaches to increase economic growth and opportunity for disinvested communities. With a B.A. in Psychology earned in 2021 and an anticipated M.S. in Human Factors Psychology in Spring 2025, Alan is dedicated to contribute to impact-based, human-centered design and research.
